The South Africa cricket team toured England, where they played three one day internationals (ODIs) against the hosts from 24-29 May before ICC Champions Trophy tournament.

After the Champions trophy, South Africa played three T20 Internationals (T20Is) matches against England in the second half of June followed by the four-match Test series starts on July 6 while the final match of the series played from August 4. England won the ODI; T20 series by 2-1 and 4-match Test series won by 3-1. This was England first home series win against South Africa since 1998.
