Harare: Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and opted to field in the first one-day international against Ireland at Harare Sports Club on Sunday.
Ireland is without all-rounder Andre Botha, who injured his hand in the drawn four-day warmup match against a second string Zimbabwe XI side.
Zimbabwe dropped experienced spin bowler Ray Price to 12th man.
