New Delhi: After months of dilly-dallying, Kolkata Knight Riders have finally zeroed in on their head coach, Australia's Dav Whatmore.
Kolkata Knight Riders have lined up Dav Whatmore as coach, putting an end to months of speculation and uncertainty after the exit of John Buchanan.
According to Indian cricket board (BCCI) sources, Whatmore has resigned as the head coach of the National Cricket Academy and signed with KKR. The announcement will be made soon.
Whatmore has earlier coached Sri Lanka and Bangladesh's national teams. He could not be reached for comments.
"Whatmore resigned from the NCA a couple of days ago to join Knight Riders as their head coach. We are yet to name Whatmore's replacement," top BCCI official told TOI on Monday.
