Wellington: New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori has been named his country's player of the year at a ceremony in Auckland.
New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan said the accolade late Thursday was the second consecutive year Vettori had picked up the award and the fourth time in six years.
The 31-year-old was also named New Zealand's best first-class bowler and best one-day international bowler.
"Daniel is and has been a consistently excellent performer for New Zealand over a long period... he has been a force in all forms of the game," Vaughan said.
