Bloemfontein: Jonathan Trott made a composed 85 as England opened their tour of South Africa with an emphatic victory over the Diamond Eagles.
Trott added 123 for the second wicket with captain Andrew Strauss (72), before Eoin Morgan fired 67 off 52 balls to lift England to 294-7.
In reply, the home side were bowled out for 109 in just 26.4 overs.
Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Sajid Mahmood, Graeme Swann and Paul Collingwood all claimed two wickets.
England have two more warm-up matches before the first of two Twenty20 internationals against South Africa next Friday.
After losing the toss, England suffered an early blow when Joe Denly was bowled by a CJ de Villiers yorker in the fifth over.
Strauss looked in fine fettle before he eventually fell to medium-pacer Ryan Bailey and Paul Collingwood was caught off spinner Con de Lange for eight.
Trott, returning to the country of his birth, looked on course for a century before chopping Bailey onto his stumps to leave England 186-4.
"It would have been nice to get a hundred but it was just good to get in the middle again, it's like learning to drive again, you pick up the bat and get back in the mode after a few weeks off," said Trott.
"I don't think it's a typical South African wicket, it is a bit on the slow and low side which is quite surprising but it was nice to get in and get in the mode of playing again.
"There are still a few things to work on with my game that I could have done better out there, but it was a good start."
It was left to Morgan to see England to a sizeable total, and the Dubliner responded with two sixes and five fours.
He was given able support from Matt Prior (19) and Luke Wright, who smashed 24 from just 16 balls.
Broad got England off to the perfect start with the ball, removing Morne van Wyk with the second delivery of the innings.
Rilee Rossouw smashed four boundaries in reaching 17 off 10 balls, only to be caught behind off the first ball of Broad's second over.
Anderson and Mahmood followed up with two wickets apiece before Swann and Collingwood finished off the tail to round off an emphatic win.
England play a second warm-up match against the Warriors franchise in Kimberley on Sunday before returning to Bloemfontein for a Twenty20 match against South Africa A on Tuesday.
The tour culminates in five one-day internationals against four Tests against top-ranked South Africa.
"Everyone coming here has their goals and we are all working hard to contribute to the team, I want to perform and try to get myself in the one-day side then think about the Tests afterwards," added Trott.
