Hyderabad: Trinidad and Tobago captain Daren Ganga won the toss and chose to bat against Leicestershire Foxes in the third qualifying match of the Champions League Twenty20 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Trinidad and Tobago have made no changes from the eleven that beat Ruhunu XI on Monday.
Leicestershire Foxes are out to prove that they are no pushovers in the shortest version of the game. But their route to glory may not be all the easy and skipper Matthew Hoggard knows the pitfalls that await his side in the qualifiers of the Champions League.
First up for the Englishmen are Trinidad and Tobago, who took a giant step towards qualification with a five-wicket win over Ruhunu XI on Monday.
Sherwin Ganga shone with a late blitzkrieg, as T&T collected 21 runs from the penultimate over and chased down the target of 139 with seven balls to spare after their top-order batsmen, except for Darren Bravo, failed to contribute substantially.
Bravo contributed a 49-ball 44 not out and shared 53 runs in just 26 balls for the unfinished sixth wicket stand to see Trinidad opened their campaign on a winning note.
