Team India Returns Home From Caribbean

Mumbai: A triumphant Indian team returned home from a successful Caribbean tour, winning its fifth consecutive One-Day International series, in the wee hours on Wednesday.

The squad boarded a connecting flight from London, which landed at approximately 0100 hours at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Most of the players barring - skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, all-rounder Abhishek Nayar and batsman Rohit Sharma - managed to avoid the media glare and sneaked through the backdoor.

The team won the first and third One-dayer, at Kingston and Gros Islet, by 20 runs and six wickets respectively to clinch the four match One-Day International series 2-1.

West Indies won the second ODI by eight wickets, while the fourth and final match of the series was washed away.

The battle-weary Team India, which had a gruelling last season, will enjoy a well two-month break before heading off to Sri Lanka from September 05, where it will participate in a tri-series also involving the home team and New Zealand.
