Fatullah: After beginning their tour on a disappointing note, Zimbabwe bounced back in style, beating Bangladesh Cricket Board XI by 192 runs in Fatullah.
Zimbabwe were ruthless with the bat, with Brendan Taylor smashing 139, including nine fours and six sixes. He received solid support from the batsmen down the order; Tatenda Taibu made a measured 68, Elton Chigumbura blitzed his way to 42 and Malcolm Waller finished off the innings with a 26-ball 37 to take his team to 335.
BCB XI were hapless in their reply, getting bowled out for 143. They lost opener Imrul Kayes off the first ball of their innings, while the others failed to get sizable scores or build important partnerships that could taken their team anywhere near the Zimbabwe score.
Faisal Hossain top scored with 30, indicating the extent of the mismatch. Zimbabwe's bowling effort was a collective one, Chamu Chibhabha leading the way with 3 for 29.
The ODI series gets underway on October 27.
