Southampton: South Africa win the toss and bat first against England, who recall Samit Patel for the second one-day international at Southampton on Tuesday.
The Proteas were unchanged from the team selected for the first of this five-match series, a no-result washout in Cardiff on Friday where only 5.3 overs were possible before rain forced an abandonment.
Alastair Cook says he probably would have batted first too, as the wicket is quite dry. England have accordingly made one late change, with Samit Patel replacing Chris Woakes in the team, to provide a second spin option.
The home side have also stuck with Ravi Bopara at No. 4 despite his poor form since returning to action after his personal issues. However, there will have been a strong temptation to play the in-form Jonny Bairstow.
Teams
England Alastair Cook (capt), Ian Bell, Jonathan Trott, Ravi Bopara, Eoin Morgan, Craig Kieswetter (wk), Samit Patel, Tim Bresnan, Graeme Swann, James Anderson, Steven Finn.
