Johannesburg: South African coach Mickey Arthur resigned amid rumours of differences with the team's captain Graeme Smith, Talk Radio 702 reported on Tuesday.
"The real reason for Arthur's resignation are unclear at this stage. It is widely believed a deteriorating relationship with Protea's skipper Graeme Smith was the catalyst.
It is understood the relationship between the two is irreparable, prompting Arthur to call it a day," the station said.
Arthur was not reachable for comment.
