Melbourne: Australian pacer Ryan Harris is in doubt for the Test and ODI series against India in October after undergoing a surgery on his right knee.
"Cricket Australia has today advised that fast bowler Ryan Harris has undergone surgery on his knee after returning from Australia's VB Tour of England due to injury," CA said in a statement.
The 30-year-old Harris returned midway through Australia's ongoing tour of England injuring his knee during the ODI victory over the hosts at Lord's last week.
CA Doctor Trefor James said Harris would be monitored in the next few days before a call is taken on his availability for the tour of India, which features two Tests and three one-day internationals between October 2 and 24.
"Ryan underwent arthroscopic surgery in Melbourne on Thursday to correct cartilage damage to his right knee. His progress will be monitored in the coming weeks to determine his availability for selection for the VB Tour of India tour in October," he said.
