Mumbai: Emerging Media-owned Rajasthan Royals has roped in UltraTech Cement as their team sponsor. With this new sponsor, the IPL franchise's sponsor roster stands at eight. Rajasthan Royals CMO Raghu Iyer said that, all these eight deals are intended to be long-term. Under this new sponsorship agreement UltraTech Cement will have branding on the team jerseys and team-replica merchandise.
Meanwhile talking on the partnership, UltraTech Cement business head marketing and strategy OP Puranmalka said that, the company has had a long association with Indian cricket and they are extremely proud to be associated with the Champions of the last IPL season, Rajasthan Royals. Resting on the new partnership, Rajasthan Royals co-owner Shilpa Shetty believes that her team is a heady mix of youth, experience and emerging talent and the same also holds true for UltraTech.
In terms of the other partners, Iyer noted that Kingfisher Beer and Royal Challenge have returned as sponsors. Other partners of the franchisee are Pepsi, Boost, Wrigleys and Puma. Very recently, software Services Company TCS has enter into a tie-up with the franchisee's as its technology partner to offer expertise in IT solutions to the team on and off the field for the next three years.
