Umpires have called an early lunch on the second day of the opening Test between New Zealand and West Indies in Dunedin on Friday after overnight rain made the outfield unplayable.
Heavy rain left large parts of the University Oval waterlogged and morning session play was scrapped.
New Zealand were due to resume their first innings on 226 for four, with Jesse Ryder on 54 and Brendon McCullum not out four.
