Karahi: Pakistan will fulfill its Future Tours Programme commitments and play a full series of five Tests and five ODIs in New Zealand next year just before the 2011 World Cup, according to PCB sources.
Pakistan is currently on a Test tour to New Zealand which was supposed to be their home series. The Black Caps had refused to tour Pakistan due to security reasons.
PCB sources confirmed that Pakistan will tour tour New Zealand again next year as provided in the Future Tours Programme.
"New Zealand will host us for five Tests and five ODIs next year from December onwards as the present series being played between both teams in New Zealand means nothing in financial terms for Cricket New Zealand," one source said.
"Since the current series is Pakistan's home series Cricket New Zealand is earning nothing from it so they have scheduled the tour next year," he added.
Pakistan played the Black Caps in three One-dayers and two Twenty20 matches recently in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and are presently in New Zealand for three Tests.
He said the One-day series between the two countries would be Pakistan's last international commitments before the World Cup.
"Cricket New Zealand is also concerned about too many matches being played between the two teams and want to ensure there is interest for the series next year," the source said.
