London: It's a sensational claim that threatens to cast a dark shadow over the ODI series between Pakistan and England. Arrested and bailed bookie Mazhar Majeed has claimed that the Pakistan team planned to throw at least two matches in the ODI series.
Majeed's claim comes at a time when the English players have expressed strong reservations against playing the ODI series against Pakistan.
Majeed said, "I can guarantee Pakistan would lose two ODIs. Boss I'm telling you, the timing you've come into. It's perfect because the one days and Twenty20s are about to start and we're going to be making a lot of money."
Incidentally, the PCB has dropped the tainted trio Test skipper Salman Butt, pacers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir from the ODI series to accomodate the concerns of the English players.
