Pakistan Bowl Out Australia for 127 at SCG

Sydney: Mohammad Asif grabbed his career best six for 41 to help Pakistan bowled out hosts Australia for 127 runs in their first innings of the second Test in Sydney.

It has been Pakistan's day in and out throughout without any doubt. They lost the toss and were asked to bowl and they dismissed Australia for 127. The Pakistan openers have seen off the small period before the end of Day's play with not too many worries.

The tourists are now 113 runs behind with all their wickets intact. Tomorrow play will start 30 minutes early to cover up today's overs. Australia need to dismiss Pakistan as soon as possible while Pakistan need to just bat, bat and bat.

Mohammad Asif completed a career-best six-wicket haul as part of Pakistan's broader demolition of Australia that called into question Ricky Ponting's decision to bat first on a Sydney green-top.

Mohammad Sami, who dismissed Australia's top three batsmen before the first drinks break, Asif exploited the heavy pitch and atmospheric conditions to full effect to rout Australia for 127 - their second-lowest total batting first at the SCG and worst at home since 1996.

Only a 44-run eighth-wicket stand between Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Hauritz saved Australia from complete embarassment although, as it stood, the humiliation ran deep enough.
