Abu Dhabi: Pakistan register a thrilling win over West Indies in 2nd ODI. Only Shivnarayan Chandrapaul showed some resistance and scored unbeaten 107 (149) runs. The only other person who supported him well was Ram Naresh Sarvan, who scrored 45 out of 65 balls. After Sarvan's wicket fell....other player just played a routine of coming and going back to pavilion.
Sohail Tanvir and Umar Gul bowled very well. They took 2 and 3 wickets respectively.
By winning this 2nd ODI in succession in Abu Dhabi, Pakistan have also won the 3 Match Series.
Earlier, West Indies bowled a disciplined line and length to dismiss Pakistan for 232. Fast bowler Jerome Taylor over-came a final over glitch in the previous match to take 3-38 and was ably supported by Daren Powell 3-50 as they never allowed the Pakistani batsmen liberty on a docile pitch.
Pakistan, who had collapsed to seven for two in third over, were indebted to Misbah-up Haq (52), Kamran Akmal (45) and beteran Younis Khan (34) but none could play long enough for a big total after Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Brief Score: Pakistan 232 (Misbah 52, Taylor 3-38, Powell 3-50) beat West Indies 208 (Chanderpaul 107*, Gul 3-44 ) by 24 runs
