Nagpur: The Australian and Indian teams are busy in preparing for the second game of the series here on Wednesday. Although the match is on a week day, tickets are flying off the shelf for the first ever ODI at Nagpur's newly constructed stadium.
The Vidarbha Cricket Association stadium here is getting spruced up for the big event. Barbed wires, closed circuit cameras and a fool-proof security system is in place for a smooth evening.
"All the areas which were earlier not covered with the close circuit television (CCTV) surveillance like parking, inside stadium, peripheral gates, all have been covered with the CCTV surveillance," said Sudhir Dabir, coordinator of Vidarbha Cricket Association.
And going by the full-house at Baroda, this 45,000 capacity stadium is expected to be packed with Indian fans.
"Obviously Sachin (Tendulkar) is there, (Mahendra Singh) Dhoni and some of the new players are also in good form. So we hope that India not only win the second match but the whole series," Dabir added.
India have happy memories of the ground, winning the only international match played here so far. India had registered a thumping 172-run win over Australia in the Test match in November last year to reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The Challengers Trophy earlier this month too produced some big scores with batsmen making the most of an ideal condition.
