Murali Now Top in ODI Too, Breaks Akram Records

Colombo: Muralitharan had India's Gautam Gambhir caught by wicket-keeper Kumar Sangakkara for 150 in his 10th and final over to move above Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram at the top of the list.

36-year old Muralitharan, holds the world record in Test cricket with 769 wickets in 125 matches. The Sri Lankan was playing his 328th One-dayer, while Akram figured in 356 games before quitting in 2003.

Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar is the only player to hold two major world marks -- highest scorer in both Tests (12,429) and One-Day Internationals (16,440).
