Mumbai: Mumbai colts have world-class facilities at their disposal to fine-tune their game and should logically win all age group tournaments conducted by the BCCI, feels former India wicket keeper Chandrakant Pandit.
Mumbai Cricket Association is providing world-class facilities and youngsters should respond with their performance. Mumbai has clinched the Ranji Trophy on as many as 39 occasions.
"Mumbai should not only win the Ranji Trophy, but also all the other age group tournaments (of the BCCI)," said Pandit at a prize distribution function on Wednesday.
Pandit, who is the director of MCA Academy at Bandra-Kurla Complex, said the facilities available there were second to none.
"I have visited many foreign academies and I would proudly say that our own MCA Academy is equally equipped as the foreign academies are," he quipped.
"I was closely associated with Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra cricket associations, but nowhere have I seen the network like that of the Mumbai Cricket Association which organises over 100 tournaments every year," he added.
Pandit was the chief guest at the prize distribution function for the Purshottam, Talim and Mahim Dadar Challenge shield tournaments at the MIG Club in Bandra.
