Dubai: The Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni retained his top spot in ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen. Dhoni is followed by Windies, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and captain Chris Gayle at second and third spots respectively. Yuvraj Singh grabbed the fourth place while Virender Sehwag get his seventh position in the list.
Gayle could have dethroned MS Dhoni but his bad performance in the series against England has denied the top spot in ODI rankings. Yuvraj Singh is followed by Mike Hussey and AB de Villiers at fifth and sixth spots respectively. Other batmen who have made into the list of 10 include, Proteas skipper Graeme Smith, opener Herschelle Gibbs and all-rounder Jacques Kallis.
Sri Lankan seamer Nuwan Kulasekara bagged the top spot in ODI bowlers ratings. World highest wicket-taker Srilankan Muttiah Muralidharan grabbed the third spot in the list. New Zealand's fast bowler, Kyle Mills is placed at second position while his team-mate and captain Daniel Vettori bagged the fourth spot. Vettori is followed by Shakib-al Hasan, Nathan Bracken, Mitchell Johnson and Mashrafe Mortaza. Shahid Afridi and Stuart Broad shared the ninth spot in ICC bowlers' ranking.
Among the top ODI teams, South Africa rules the listing with 126 points followed by Australia (122) and India (122) at second spots. New Zealand (112), Pakistan (111), England (109), Sri Lanka (105) and West Indies (90) occupied the remaining place. Bangladesh is placed at ninth spot followed by Zimbabwe, Ireland and Kenya.
