Mumbai: Mohali and Bangalore will host the two Test matches in the high-profile series between India and Australia in October, the Cricket Board said on Thursday.
The opening Test of the short rubber would be played from October 2-6 at Mohali while the second Test at Bangalore would be conducted between October 10-14, as per the decision taken by the BCCI's Tour, Programmes and Fixtures Committee here.
The three one-day internationals during the series would be played at Kochi, Goa and Vishakapatnam, BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a media release.
The visitors would open the tour with a three-day match before the first Test at Mohali from September 27-29.
Australia were originally scheduled to play seven ODIs during their visit but acceded to India's request to squeeze in a short Test series following the home country's elevation to the number one Test spot last year.
The Committee also finalised the venues for the three Tests and the five ODIs in the following home series against New Zealand in November-December.
The Test matches against the Kiwis are to be held in Ahmedabad, Kanpur and Mumbai while the five ODI venues would be Bangalore, Mohali, Chennai, Guwahati and Hyderabad.
