Bloemfontein: Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) have announced that the national broadcaster will televise the Zimbabwe Series against the Proteas live on SABC 3, and provide ball by ball radio commentary of the tour on Radio 2000.
CSA CEO Gerald Majola said: "I am encouraged by SABC's long term ambition to bring cricket to a broader audience, and their ongoing support of all forms of cricket."
SABC CEO (acting) Robin Nicholson said: "We are happy that an agreement has been reached between CSA and the SABC, on the Zimbabwe series, as this will enable us to fulfil our public service mandate while entertaining our audiences."
The Zimbabwe Series kicks off on Friday, 8 October, with the first Standard Bank International Pro20 match at OUTsurance Oval in Bloemfontein.
The second Standard Bank International Pro20 match takes place on Sunday, 8 October.
The teams will also clash in three MTN One Day Internationals, in Bloemfontein on 15 October, Potchefstroom on 17 October and Benoni on 22 October.
