Guyana: The Daniel Vettori-led New Zealand squad has said that they must not be underestimated and are definitely in the hunt for this year's World Twenty20 title.
"If we can play as well as we can, we should be in the hunt," stuff.co.nz quoted all-rounder Scott Styris, as saying.
"We are going in with the view that we are a chance to win it and, if we don't, then it is a disappointment," he added.
New Zealand have settled in Guyana, where they have a couple of warm-up matches before facing Sri Lanka on Friday.
"We're very confident. I think spin bowling is going to play a big part, particularly on the slower grounds in the Caribbean," Vettori said.
