Mohali: Kings XI Punjab skipper David Hussey won the toss and elected to bat against Mumbai Indians at the Punjab Cricket Association in Mohali on Wednesday.
Mumbai Indians have brought in Robin Petersen and Clint McKay, leaving out Pragyan Ojha.
Punjab, having beaten Mumbai by six wickets at the Wankhede recently, look a buoyant side but know well what it means to take a side like Mumbai lightly.
They would not want to forget the past record - out of nine encounters between the two, Mumbai have won six and lost just three. But they would also not want to dwell too much on that.
Playing at home, Punjab clearly hold the edge. Mumbai, once the top-rung team, are now wallowing in the seventh spot, though still one step above Punjab on the ladder.
Teams:
Kings XI Punjab: Nitin Saini (wk), SD Chitnis, Shaun Marsh, David Hussey (captain), DA Miller, Azhar Mahmood, Mandeep Singh, Piyush Chawla, BA Bhatt, Praveen Kumar, P Awana
Mumbai Indians: Ambati Rayudu, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Dinesh Karthik (wk), James Franklin, Harbhajan Singh (captain), RP Singh, Munaf Patel, CJ McKay, RJ Peterson.
