Mumbai: The BCCI officials are reportedly boycotting the star-studded IPL awards ceremony slated to be held on Friday night at a 5-star hotel in Mumbai.
Even though most of the officials are in Mumbai, the move to boycott the awards ceremony is reportedly to show their support to BCCI president and a move against Lalit Modi.
The IPL-team owners are also hesitant about sending their players to the awards night. Apparently, they are not too pleased with the I-T officials investigating their teams and the awards being held at the same time. Incidentally, the I-T officials will also be looking at the funding of the show, including the contracts for event management and telecast rights.
Karan Johar, the famous Bollywood director, will be hosting the show, while team-owners Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and some leading cricketers will be performing on stage.
