Indore: Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association rechristened the Usha Raje Cricket Stadium here as the 'Holkar Satdium'.
On the occasion, MPCA chairman and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia said, "This is a historic ground where C K Nayudu and other internationally famed cricketers have given their excellent performances."
He said that the name 'Holkar Stadium' has been given in remembrance of the erstwhile royal family of Indore and their contribution in the game of cricket.
Left-hand batsman Yuvraj Singh, who was also present on the occasion, said "This stadium has been lucky for me and I hope to repeat my earlier performances here."
