Ahmedabad: The Indian and Australian cricket teams arrived on Monday for their World Cup quarterfinal match to be played at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera on March 24.
The Indian team, led by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, arrived at the Sardar Patel Airport here this evening and looked upbeat after defeating West Indies by 80 runs on Sunday.
The team is likely to practice at Motera stadium Tuesday morning.
The Australian squad, which arrived after their Indian counterparts, are scheduled to practice in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Tight security arrangements have been put in place across the city following a terror alert issued by the Central government in the wake of the World Cup.
Police and security personnel along with bomb disposal squad and quick response team (QRTs) have been deployed at the match venue for handling emergency situation.
