It was a scintillating 4th day, India declared its 2nd innings at a total of 314/3 scored at a Run.Rate of 4.83. Gambhir got his 2nd Test hundred and scored 104, Virendra Sehwag (the happy birthday boy) got few chances but was unlucky to get his hundred and got caught by Haddin bowled by Siddle at 90.
M.S.Dhoni promoted himself up in the order today and looked good and scored 2nd fifty in this innings and was not out at 68(84). Saurav was also promoted up the order and he scored 27 of 37 balls. Tendulkar came next who scored 10 of 12 balls. after which Dhoni decided to declare innings.
Australia decided to attack India in its 2nd innings from the word go. M.Hayden looked in a devastating mood who attacked Zaheer from his 1st ball. Katich also started hitting pace bowlers for boundaries. They both scored 49 in just of just 7 overs. Then came the bowling change and Harbhajan was brought into attack. Harbhajan of his 2nd ball took wicket of Hayden (lbw) who looked very dangerous. and then in his 6th ball he took wicket of Katich brilliantly caught by Tendulkar at short point. And then Harbhajan took his 3rd wicket in his 2nd over by getting Hussey lbw on 1, 3 quick wickets by Harbhajan elated the spirits of India.
Ishant Sharma took wicket of Ponting again on a superb delivery. Aussies were in serious trouble. Sharma stuck again by claiming wicket of Shane Watson(lbw) at just 2 runs. M.Clark and Haddin put some fight by scoring 42 (95) and 37(102) respectively. Aussies were 141/5 at the end of the 4th day.
