Adelaide: Australia have completed another convincing 40 run victory over Pakistan to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the series.
In his second one-day international, Ryan Harris kept a cool head under pressure to deliver Australia a 40-run victory and an unassailable 3-0 series lead after Shahid Afridi lit up a match that had threatened to fizzle out.
The Pakistani run chase got off to the worst possible start with Umar Akmal going early and not before long they were reduced to 60 for 4. Umar Akmal showed some fight and got good support from Alam but they were always up against it from that point.
Afridi rekindled hopes of a late comeback but even he could not pull off the miracle.
Ryan Harris was the star performer for the home side with figures of 5 for 43 in his 10 overs and was rightly adjudged Man of the Match.
Earlier, The fun came in the last ten overs when, led by Clarke and Hussey, Australia added 95, helped by sloppy work from Pakistan, who had earlier missed run-outs and dropped Clarke on 32.
Marsh went on to pass fifty for the seventh time in one-day internationals and looked set for his second hundred when he was stumped for 83, lured at a wide, spinning ball from Saeed Ajmal.
The last two games will played at Perth, where Pakistan would be playing for pride.
