Bristol: England batsman Ian Bell faces several weeks on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his foot while fielding against Bangladesh in the second one-day international here on Saturday.
Bell, diving to his left at square leg in an attempt to catch Junaid Siddique in the 10th over, fell awkwardly as he landed.
The 28-year-old Warwickshire batsman was taken to hospital where an X-ray revealed he'd fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot, according to a statement issued by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
He could now miss England's first Test against Pakistan at Trent Bridge, starting on July 29.
England lead the three-match series against Bangladesh 1-0, with Bell having top-scored with 84 not out in the first ODI at Trent Bridge on Thursday.
