London: England will go ahead with a two-Test series in India after receiving security assurances following the Mumbai terror attacks, it was announced at their training base on Sunday.
Officials also confirmed that England would be travelling with a full-strength squad following reports that senior players Stephen Harmison and Andrew Flintoff were uncertain about whether to play in India.
Earlier, Reg Dickason, the England and Wales Cricket Board's security consultant verbally mentioned Chennai as safe and forwarded his employers back home a detailed list of security plans in place.
