Mumbai: Rahul Dravid became only the second batsman in Test cricket to score 13,000 runs achieving the feat on the third day of the third Test against the West Indies at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
Dravid got to the milestone with a superb cover drive off West Indies captain Darren Sammy. Now The Wall just behind only Indian Sachin Tendulkar (15086 before Mumbai Test).
Australia former captain Ricky Ponting (12557 in 156 match) and South African Jacques Kallis (12005 in 147 Test) current players near Rahul Dravid.
Dravid also completes 1000 Test runs in 2011, he is first batsman in reach in milestone in 2011. Third times he completes one thousand and more runs in a calender year.
Dravid was the star of India's disastrous tour of England earlier this year, which cost India the top spot in the ICC Test rankings after they were whitewashed 0-4.
