Dubai: India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues to be the numero uno One-day batsman followed by his deputy Yuvraj Singh but seasoned Sachin Tendulkar dropped a place to ninth in the latest ICC rankings issued on Tuesday.
ICC Test player of the year Gautam Gambhir improved his One-day ranking by one rung and now occupies 16th spot.
In the ODI bowlers' ranking, injured paceman Zaheer Khan broke into the top-20 after gaining three positions from 22nd and spinner Harbhajan Singh also rose by a rung to 18th.
India are second behind Australia in the team rankings. Australia strengthened its number-one position by defending their Champions Trophy title with an unbeaten run.
The four-time world champion leads second-placed India (124) by four ratings points.
Meanwhile, New Zealand pacer Kyle Mills has claimed the number-one position for the first time in his career in the bowlers rankings after a good show in the just concluded Champions Trophy.
Mills, who started the elite eight-team tournament in number-two position trailing Nuwan Kulasekara by seven points, now leads his Sri Lankan counterpart by 10 points.
New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori has slipped to third in the latest rankings after hamstring injury forced him to miss the final. A player loses one per cent of his points for every match missed.
The biggest mover in the bowling table is Australia's Brett Lee who returned to the top 20 after finishing with six wickets in the tournament. The 32-year-old has jumped five places to 16th spot.
The only major change in the top 20 is Australia captain Ricky Ponting who won the player of the tournament award. The Tasmanian has climbed one place to eighth while South Africa's AB de Villiers has moved up to fourth after Michael Hussey failed to defend his position and dropped one place to fifth.
In the rankings for ODI all-rounders, Australia's Shane Watson's stellar all-rounder show in the Champion Trophy -- 265 runs and six wickets -- has helped him break into the top five for the first time in his career.
The 28-year-old Queenslander now shares fourth spot with Pakistan's Shahid Afridi after jumping nine places in the list, headed by Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan while Yuvraj is second and Jacques Kallis of South Africa third.
