Cape Town: Seventh-placed Royal Challengers and wooden-spooners Team Hyderabad have, of course, begun IPL Season Two on a positive note with both winning their openers here over the weekend.
DC defeated Kolkata Knight Riders convincingly while the RCB got the better of defending champions Team Jaipur. So, when the two confront each other at the Newlands, they'll do so with confidence and conviction in their abilities.
Team Hyderabad skipper Adam Gilchrist is already saying that "things will be very different" and KP, who is getting more vocal about how is side is keen to stick to winning ways, is equally confident. Both skippers stress that it is the winning habit that matters.
"The important thing is to be there, hang around and keep performing. You can't afford to let the momentum go because in Twenty20 it's quite a bit of a psychological thing that you play even before you go onto the field," said Gilchrist.
Ask Pietersen for his reaction on what his counterpart has to say and the England cricketer can't agree more. "It's about the confidence. As teams, each side has some world class players, so it's about who clicks and when," he said.
Weather: Chilly weather with a light breeze but no rain chance.
