New Delhi: Revolt in the Delhi team has got bigger with as many as seven players boycotting the team's Ranji camp that kicked off on Wednesday (August 19). Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma who backed the skipper are missing from the conditioning camp at the Firozshah Kotla along with Rajat Bhatia, Mithun Manhas, Chetan Nanda, Punit Bisht.
However, Ashish Nehra has joined the younger members of the Delhi side. This comes just a day after skipper Virender Sehwag along with other members threatened to walk out of the Delhi Ranji side alleging the DDCA for manipulation in selection process.
Meanwhile, after Virender Sehwag's open revolt against the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA), it looks like the DDCA is now going an extra mile to make peace with Viru. Sources tell that two seniors former Delhi players met with Sehwag in Bangalore to discuss the grievances of the cricketer over the selection procedure and corruption in the Delhi Ranji team.
This comes just a day after senior Delhi players backed Viru on allegations of corruption and threatened to quit the Delhi team. Sehwag is slated to meet DDCA chief Arun Jaitley later this week to discuss the issue further.
