Durban: England batsman Paul Collingwood is taken to hospital after dislocating a finger in the warm-up ahead of the fourth day of the second Test against South Africa.
The middle-order batsman will have an X-ray after being struck on the index finger during fielding practice ahead of the fourth day of play in Durban.
England will find out later on Tuesday if the Durham all-rounder will be fit to bat in the second innings if needed.
Collingwood made 91 on day three as England took control of the Test match.
And his absence would be a big blow were England to need him to bat in the second innings, with the 33-year-old one of their form batsman at present.
He is also one of England's key fielders, so the tourists will be hoping he can take up his position at slip as they look to press home the advantage they built on days three and four.
Replying to South Africa's 343 all out, England reached 386-5 by stumps on day three.
