Cameron White To Replace Injured Spinner McGain

Hyderabad: All rounder Cameron White will replace injured Byrce McGain in the Australian team for the Test tour of India, according to a Cricket Australia (CA) media release on Saturday.

White had led his country in the 'A' series prior to Australia's Test tour and he will replace a fellow Victorian after a decision to that effect was taken by the Australian selection panel chairman Andrew Hilditch, who arrived here on Friday night. "We feel that Cameron's leg spin and experience in Indian conditions, where he has just returned after captaining the Australia 'A' one-day team to a tournament victory, is the correct option and will provide a good balance to our slow bowling attack," Hilditch told.

Cameron will join the squad in Bangalore on Monday.
