London: England's Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad said on Monday he was determined to be fit enough to make his international return against India in a Twenty20 game in Kolkata on October 29.
The 25-year-old pace bowler missed the final one-day international against India and a two match Twenty20 series against West Indies after he tore a shoulder muscle earlier this month.
Broad, son of former England opener and now test umpire Chris, had a successful summer as England overwhelmed India in the one-dayers and the test series to replace them as test cricket's number one side.
Broad's most memorable moment of the summer came when he became only the 12th Englishman to take a Test hat-trick when he dismissed India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar in the second Test.
