BCCI Hires 2nd Physio for Team India

Mohali: Concerned about the growing injuries among Indian players, the BCCI has hired Amit Shah as the second physio of the national team.

The team already has Nitin Patel as its physio but in the wake of injuries, Patel is finding it difficult to singularly attend the individuals with injuries as well as the others in general.

Shah worked as KKR physio during the third edition of the Indian Premier League.

"Amit Shah has joined Team India as its second physio. Amit and Nitin Patel will now work together," a BCCI official informed on Monday.

Shah was sent an SOS and he has joined the team in Mohali and was particularly taking care of VVS Laxman who didn't field in the Australian second innings due to back spasms.

However, according to team sources, Laxman is much better now and will be fit enough to bat on the final day of the Test match. India are in trouble as they need another 161 runs to win with only six wickets in hand.
