India v Australia 1st Test, Day Four

Bangalore Test Day 4 - Australia 193/5, Lead By 263 Runs

Bangalore: The cat and mouse game continued in the first India-Australia Test on Sunday at the Chinnaswami Stadium. Each team has had its moments, yet after four days of cricket neither side can claim to have taken control even if the Australian seem to have don enough to keep them from losing the Test. But a draw can not be ruled out as the pitch, despite sporting quite a few wide cracks, is still playing slow.

Going into the final day, the Australian, 263 runs ahead (5 wickets in hand), will certainly have slept better than the Indians who, for some parts of the fourth day's play, would have nurtured a quiet dream.

Actually if not for a counter-at-tracking 65-runs unbroken sixth wicket stand between Shane Watson (32) and Brad Haddin 928), one that came at nearly four an over and just when the Indians seemed to be getting on top, it could even have advantage India. Australia loose top five wickets just 128 in second innings, but Watson and Haddin led Aussie and reach the total without lose any wicket at stumps to 193.

In morning session, Zaheer (57*) hits is second fifth in Test match and reach India's total to 360. Any Aussie man bowler have not break Kumble-Zaheer partnership. Ponting used part time bowler Michael Clarke and Shane Watson, and both pick up one wicket each and end of Indian innings.

Brief Score: Australia 430 and 193 for 5 (Watson 32*, Haddin 28*) lead India 360 (Zaheer 57*, Harbhajan 54, Dravid 51, Johnson 4-70, Watson 3-45) by 263 runs. Detail Score
