Dunedin: New Zealand end on 147 for eight with an overall lead of 244 runs after playing out 61.5 overs in another rain hit day. Pakistan were quite professional in their approach today.
After getting bowled out, their seamers bowled superbly to leave the Kiwis struggling. Mohammad Asif was once again the pick of the bowlers as he ended with figures of 4 for 41. Mohammad Aamer scalped a couple while Umar Gul bagged one.
For the home side, after a disastrous start, Taylor (59) and McIntosh (31) steadied the innings for a while but that direct hit run out by Manzoor proved to be the turning point.
Elliott (20*) is still out in the middle along with OBrien (4*) and both of them will look to start frest tomorrow and add a few runs to the total.
The match is still well poised even though the home side is struggling with eight wickets down. They have a lead of 244 runs which is always good for Day 5 and there have been instances when even good sides have tumbled on the final day. If the weather stays fine, then definelty have an interesting day of play tomorrow.
