Centurion: Aaron Finch (93*) steered Victorian Bushrangers to a seven wicket victory over Central Stags in a thrilling last over Champions League T20 encounter.
Aaron Finch played scored a nerveless 93 off 60 balls as pre-tournament favourites Victoria overcame a spirited effort by Central Districts to chase 166 with two balls to spare.
Central Districts punched above their weight for a large part of the match, with their captain Jamie How scoring an equally memorable 77 earlier in the piece, but their bowlers wilted against Finch's assault that was aggressive and measured in equal parts.
Aaron Finch gets the highest run-scorer of the match as well as the man of the match awards for his terrific innings of an unbeaten 93. Says that his team needed to get off to a good start and fortunately, they got away with a few chances. Admits that the batsmen left it a bit too late and feels that probably they should have gone a bit harder early on.
