Mumbai: In a thrilling finish, West Indies held their nerves to draw the third Test against India on the fifth day at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. India won the three-Test series 2-0.
Chasing a 243-run victory target, India ended up with 242/9 with R Ashwin getting run out on the last ball of the match.
The match was completely in India's hand when Kohli was at the crease, but his wicket gave Windies a chance to win the third Test.
The partnership between Dhoni and Kohli was going good and they looked set to guide India for a win, but Rampaul dismissed the Indian skipper.
Before Dhoni's wicket, Ravi Rampaul had VVS Laxman caught by Adrian Barath at mid-on. Laxman hit 1 four in his 31-run knock before mistiming his pull shot to the short delivery.
India ended the second session of the day at 148/4.

Fidel Edwards dented the Indian run chase in the second over after lunch when he had Gautam Gambhir caught by West Indies captain Darren Sammy at point.

Earlier, Pragyan Ojha took six wickets while R Ashwin scalped four, as India bundled out the West Indies for 134 runs in their second innings.

Ojha registered his second five-wicket haul when he incited Samuels (0) out of the crease with a flighted delivery but it turned and missed Samuels' swinging bat for MS Dhoni to complete an easy stumping.
Ojha took his fourth wicket when he took a simple return catch to dismiss Bravo.
Bravo hit 5 fours in his 48-run knock before Ojha made him drive against the turn which resulted in his dismissal.
Ojha struck early in the day when he had Kraigg Brathwaite caught by Sachin Tendulkar at backward point.
Brathwaite hit 2 fours in his 35-run knock and was done in by the bounce of the Ojha delivery.
The day's play started with Brathwaite and Bravo resuming the West Indies second innings.
