Mumbai: BCCI has ended the rumors about Shikhar Dhawan leading Team India in Asian Games 2023 as they officially announced Rituraj Gaikwad as the Indian captain for the upcoming tournament set to take place in Hangzhou.
Kolkata Knight Rider’s star finisher Rinku Singh and Punjab Kings’ wicket-keeper batter Prabhsimran Singh have received their maiden Team India call-ups for the quadrennial event which will take place from 28th September to 8th October in a T20 format.

The Men’s competition will be held at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field. The selection committee also announced the women’s squad which will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana will be the deputy in charge. Richa Ghosh will be returning to the side too.
