St. Kitts: Veteran all-rounder Jason Holder has won a swift recall for West Indies' three-match ODI series at home against India later this month.
The West Indies named a 13-player squad for the series on Sunday, with Holder returning to the fray after he was rested during the recent 3-0 series loss to Bangladesh on home soil.
Holder has more than 5,000 runs and 140 ODI wickets to his name and lead selector Desmond Haynes is confident the 30-year-old can make an immediate impact upon his return.
West Indies ODI squad:
Nicholas Pooran (c), Shamarh Brooks, Keacy Carty, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Gudakesh Motie, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Jayden Seales. Reserves: Romario Shepherd, Hayden Walsh Jr.
Skipper Nicholas Pooran will once again lead West Indies during the three-match series in Trinidad and Haynes knows his team needs to bounce back to form following a disappointing display against Bangladesh.
