IPL 2021 suspended till next order with Covid count increases

New Delhi: IPL 2021 has been suspended, following several positive Covid-19 cases across teams over the past couple of days.

The latest development to trigger a total rethink on the tournament is the positive COVID-19 test result of Sunrisers Hyderabad's Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals' Amit Mishra.

On Tuesday, the top brass of the BCCI was to meet to take a final call on the fate of the tournament with rescheduling the entire tournament being one of the agenda points.

The BCCI had contemplated moving the whole bandwagon to one city but the latest positive cases in the IPL setup are not leaving the BCCI managers with much options.
