Afghanistan 147 for 7 (Zazai 26, Karim 26, Williams 3-23) beat West Indies 106 for 8 (Karim 5-11) by 41 runs
Lucknow: Afghanistan won the second T20I against West Indies by 41 runs at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday, owing to the brilliance of Karim Janat who registered 5/11.
After winning the first T20I against Afghanistan by 30 runs, West Indies did well to restrict them to just 147/7 in the first innings, where Karim Janat and Hazratullah Zazai top-scored with 26. But the Carribean side fell to the bowling excellence of Afghanistan and finished the match on 106/8. After losing the ODI series 0-3, they have now levelled the T20I series.
Karim Janat took five wickets as West Indies were restricted to 106-8 in the chase for Afghanistan's 147-7. Janat's 26 was also the joint highest scorer for his side, with opener Hazratullah Zazai.
The final game is in Lucknow, where Afghanistan play their home games, on Sunday. West Indies beat Afghanistan 3-0 in their one-day games before the T20 series.
