Manchester: India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will not take part in the remainder of the ICC World Cup 2019 match against Pakistan after suffering a hamstring injury on his left leg.
The pacer pulled up midway through his third over and limped off the field during Pakistan's chase of 336. The remainder of the over was bowled by Vijay Shankar, who struck with his very first delivery to send back Imam ul Haq LBW for 7.
The exact extent of Bhuvneshwar injury is unknown. Upon leaving the field, the right-armer was looked up by India team physio Patrick Farhart.
The official update from the Indian team was that Bhuvneshwar has tightness in his left hamstring and that he will not take part in this match.
