Zimbabwe 129 for 7 (Maruma 35, Naveed 2-26, Mustafa 2-29) beat UAE 175 (Suri 46, Williams 2-27, Jarvis 2-28, Mpofu 2-39) by three wickets (DLS method)
Harare: Zimbabwe won the fourth and final ODI against the United Arab Emirates in Harare, completing a 4-0 whitewash in the process.
In a rain-affected match, the target for Zimbabwe was adjusted to 128 in 30 overs, which the hosts achieved in only 24.5 overs.
Opting to bat first earlier in the day, UAE reeled under regular strikes and could put only 175 on the board.
Chirag Suri's 45 steered his team through the first half of the innings while CP Rizwan, after putting on 38 runs for the third wicket with Suri, batted through, becoming the last batsman to be dismissed courtesy a run out.
Muhammad Usman's 27 off 24 balls provided some impetus but his wicket to Sean Williams kick-started a slide that saw UAE lose three wickets for three runs between the 35th and 37th overs.
Kyle Jarvis, who was wicketless in his opening spell, returned to pick two of those three wickets.
A target of 176 always looked below par. On top of that, Brian Chari and Regis Chakabva accumulated 44 runs for the first wicket, throwing UAE's plans off very early in the chase.
Zimbabwe were 37 for 0 after 6.4 overs when the rain arrived. With no wickets lost, the DLS-adjusted target wasn't a surprise.
